Below you will find information on our individual skills camps, LiTTLE MaKSY’s Camp, Edge Camp, Summer Hockey Festival, and MORE! These camps are a great way to improve your skills, have fun, and take your game to the Maks this summer!

XTREME SHOOTING CAMP
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (off-ice)
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM (on-ice)

You will literally shoot thousands of pucks at this camp. Shooting will take place on the ice, in the Rapid Shot, in the Skills Rooms and more. This camp will feature an emphasis on improving shot technique and increasing shot speed, reaction time, and accuracy for players of all ages utilizing resources such as weighted pucks, patented resistance shooting bands, etc.  Past participants have seen drastic improvement in their shooting, puck-handling, confidence, and ability to light the lamp.

 

July 8th – 12th: Ages 6-9

July 15th – 19th: Ages 10-12

July 22nd – 26th: Ages 13+

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This camp is a must for female hockey players! Not only is this camp a celebration of girls hockey, hours of training geared towards skill improvement combined with daily guest speakers and team building exercises provides players with memories that will last a lifetime.

Each day (with the exception of Sunday which is Camp Kickoff day) will include:
- 3 hours of on-ice skill development and game situations/scrimages.
- 2 hours of performance based training (age appropriate).
- Team building events.

 

 

ACCELERATION CAMP
12:30 PM – 3:00 PM (off-ice)
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM (on-ice)

This camp will focus on all the aspects of acceleration to give you pure speed. Cutting edge training methods, including the Skating Treadmill and patented sprint cord technology, combined with good old fashioned hard work and acceleration drills on ice will be on the itinerary. Limited enrollment per age level.

 

July 29th – August 2nd: Ages 6-8

August 5th – 9th: Ages 9-11

August 12th – 16th: Ages 12+

 

LiTTLE MaKSY’s CAMP (players ages 3-7)

LiTTLE MaKSY's takes the skills players work on in their respective initiation programs and brings them to a small group setting providing players with more instruction and repetition and most importantly...MORE FUN!!

- 1 hour of on-ice instruction focusing on skating, puck skills, and small area games!!!
- 1 hour of off-ice training focusing on coordination, balance, and agility
- 30 minutes of shooting
- 30 minutes of FUN!!!! (knee hockey, kickball, relay races, etc.)

This camp is a great way for the beginner hockey player to develop his or her skills in a camp setting without the stress and frustration of lasting throughout a full day of camp.

2013 SUMMER HOCKEY FESTIVAL

Open to Mites, Squirts, and Pee Wees

Maksymum Hockey's most popular full-day camp returns for another year!

The Maksymum Hockey Summer Festival kicks off the house and AA season in the proper fashion.

Each day will include:

- 1.5 hours of on-ice skill development.
- 30 minutes of team drills.
- 50 minutes of games/scrimmages.
- Off-ice training including Rapid Shot and Athletic Republic training.
- Fun off-ice activities, team building exercises, guest speakers, chalk talks and MORE!

Each player registered will receive 60 minute Rapid Shot card ($60 Value), a Report Card explaining your child’s strengths and weaknesses, AND a gift certificate for one FREE Private Lesson at Maksymum Hockey!

2013 SKILLS MINI CAMPS
AUGUST 26TH – 28TH
$75 per mini-camp.
ATTEND ALL 3 FOR JUST $199!

POWERSKATING
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

During this session, players will be pushed to improve their fundamental skating stride (both forwards and backwards), edge control and balance, as well as foot speed and agility.

 

STICKHANDLING
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

During this session, players will focus on improving their puckhandling skills through a daily progression of drills. Areas of focus include puck protection and puck control, skating with the puck, and fakes & dekes. 

 

SHOOTING & SCORING
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

During this session, players will focus on improving their shot power and accuracy. Different forms of shots will be covered as well as shooting and scoring on the move, from the slot, and maneuvers from in tight including deflections and dekes. The emphasis of this session is for players to walk out more confident in their ability to light the lamp.
